This home inspection training program is an all-inclusive, self-paced online home inspector training curriculum that prepares you to start your own business as a Home Inspector.
Home Inspections: Each one of the lessons covers a specific part of the building, in detail, from roof to foundation as well as interiors & exteriors and all standard home features. The lessons discuss the most common issues of each part of the building, then explain how to identify and describe the issues in a written inspection report. Each home inspector training lesson contains a mixture of videos, interactive checkpoints, slide shows, and hundreds of illustrations and actual home inspection photographs. The Global Inspector School® Home Inspector training program also teaches you how to effectively create a thorough home inspection report and includes an actual detailed home inspection report for you to study.
Commercial Inspections: Other inspection training programs charge extra for commercial inspection training. The Global Inspector School® training program includes commercial inspection training, for free, as part of your continuing education. Upon completion of the lessons, the student will be able to inspect a small, medium and large commercial building and write a professional inspection report. Students will learn about common commercial building issues, how to identify and document them in an inspection report. You will receive a certificate-of-completion for each course you complete on Commercial Inspections. There are of course, differences between commercial and residential buildings. The lessons discuss the similarities and differences between commercial and residential inspections. Our lessons and videos begin with a variety of small commercial buildings and progressively get larger and more complex.
Sewer Scope Training: Sewer line inspections are becoming a standard in the home inspection industry and every home inspector should consider adding this service to their repertoire. This Sewer Scope Training course, included free, with your Global Inspector School® yearly membership, teaches the fundamentals of the sanitary sewer system of a residence and how to inspect them. There are fifteen of our sewer camera videos in the lesson, lots of pictures, and reading & writing exercises. We examine some of the common tools needed to do sewer scope inspections, as well as, typical problems found in sewer lines. The average life of various types of sewer pipes are discussed, as well as, safety concerns while doing a sewer inspection. The course also covers how to market your Sewer Scope Inspection business, the cost of equipment and how doing sewer scope inspections can increase your income and referral base.
Below, is a list of the basic starter or “101” lessons, included with the Global Inspector School® yearly membership. After completing all of these lessons, as well as, the Code Of Ethics, Standards Of Practice, and Final Exam, you will receive a Global Inspector School® Home Inspector certificate-of-completion. Each lesson in the Global Inspector School® Home Inspector training program covers the specifics of that structure. The lesson describes the most common failures of the structure and explains how to identify such failures. At the end of each lesson is a quiz to help summarize the important points you have learned. You must achieve at least 82%, to pass the lessons and to receive the Global Inspector School® Certificate-of-Completion for each lesson.
